He started his career with Old Second National Bank in Aurora, IL as Portfolio Manager and equity issue analyst– Accepted position as head of Trust Department at Farmers and Mechanics Bank in 1979
From 1983 – 2003, Don was with First National Bank of Danville, hired as head of Trust Department and Chief Investment Officer. He managed charitable endowments, trust portfolios and individual portfolios totaling over $100,000,000. In addition, Don established and managed two equity funds and a tax-exempt bond fund, and also managed the taxable bond fund.
Don became co-founder and President and Chief Investment Officer with McLaughlin Asset Management, Inc. in 2003. McLaughlin Asset Management, Inc. is a registered investment adviser handling accounts for individuals, charitable organizations and family trusts. The firm’s main focus is managing portfolios of individual stocks and bonds.
Ryan J. McLaughlin

Ryan has been in investment business since 2001
He started his career with First National Bank of Danville as Assistant Portfolio Manager and Manager-In-Training – assisted in investment research and portfolio management process; provided operational support to Chief Investment Officer; designed, implemented and administered worksheets for analysis of equity portfolios.
Ryan became co-founder and Vice-President with McLaughlin Asset Management, Inc. in 2003. His responsibilities include portfolio manager, relationship manager and director of operations. McLaughlin Asset Management, Inc. is a registered investment advisor handling accounts for individuals, charitable organizations and family trusts. The firm’s main focus is managing portfolios of individual stocks and bonds.
